So let me ask you, Paula. Do you consider certified organic food to be GMO-free? Or is the genie out of the bottle and GMO contamination has now spread so far that no one can really make a GMO-free claim about their seeds?

Paula,
I also sell seed to organic growers so be careful with the generalities. My agenda is that I don't believe the solution is as a black and white as you lead the reader to believe. In order to have a viable, sustainable and secure food system there is a place for both GMO and organic production. As being someone that is apart of the seed system I guarantee you that GM crops are highly regulated and tested by the applicable governing bodies.

And I do plan on reading the book. Thanks for the review.

Shaun,

You have a particular point of view on this subject, as you profit by selling GMO seeds. It is apparent that you neither read the book nor my review, as what was discussed was more nuanced than your simplistic take.

Paula,
Thanks for the breakdown of the book. To bad its filled with inaccuracies. First of all if you want non-gmo food you can get it by buying labelled organic. Secondly, the GMO seed is heavily regulated and monitored by the proper regulatory bodies in Canada and the US. To say that they are virtually unregulated is completely inaccurate.
