Another idea to help people learn about cooking and food? Re-outfit the local extension offices with people who know how to cook, in addition to the gardeners. Extension offices used to have &quot;homemaker&quot; clubs, cooking classes, canning classes, etc. Many of them still have that information available, but no one knows about it! Maybe it&#039;s time to reeducate the public on where that kind of information is available.

So glad to hear the USDA is coming on board. Now if only it were subject to FDA oversight on meat safety and recall...</description>
