McDonalds needs to be exposed for who they truely are. They're nothing but greedy business people that deserve to lose everything they've worked for. I truely believe if everyone in society could see the videotapes of the cruelty demonstrated in factory farming, people would make more responsible purchasing decisions. Eventually, these evil companies will be forced to do the right thing and allow farming animals to live the life god has intended.

[...] How about for every Egg McMuffin you eat, you get to spend a day in a 4-foot square closet? McDonald's lags behind its EU counterparts and its North American competition when it comes to phasing out eggs from hens in battery cages. [...]

I just made my call into McDonalds. I'm glad you posted the number. I sure hope and pray that McDonalds here in the U.S. will vote for 'cage-free' eggs! My heart breaks for the laying hens being forced to suffer such cruelty.

Thank you for bringing awareness to the cruelty of McDonald's Greed and Inhumane practices.
I would like to see a nationwide ad campaign showing elaborating on this important issue.
Thank you Paul.

I was shocked and appalled upon visiting a battery-egg facility, and I cannot imagine any caring person wanting to support such cruelty. In fact, as the author points out, voters in California recently told the egg industry exactly what they think of battery cages. Considering the massive amount of egg products McDonald’s serves every year, this is a tremendous opportunity for them to show the world they care about more than their bottom line. C’mon, McDonald’s: step up and do the right thing.

What a great opportunity to let McDonald's know what consumers want: better treatment of animals. Excluding animal products from our diets completely is easier and more delicious now than ever, but since some companies still use eggs in their products, we should let them know that battery cages are totally unacceptable.

Starting with the passage of California's prop 2, it's inevitable that such archaic and cruel systems of confinement, like battery cages, are on their way out. It's just a matter of time, and food industry giants, like McDonald's need to stop dragging their feet when it comes to supporting egregious animal abuse.
