		<description>I&#039;ve always felt that Bittman contradicts himself on a bit on the meat thing--as you pointed out with the bacon. How much does he really practice meat reduction? His writing is certain lyrical enough that we often forget to ask that question.

Personally, I have his modified cookbook, &quot;How to Cook Everything Vegetarian&quot; which seems to follow the line he&#039;s running now.</description>
