		<description>There seems to be a lot of consumers talking about heritage breeds of turkey, but they don&#039;t want to pay for them.  The usually take twice as long to grow out, have half as much meat on them, and when consumers see the scrawny little bird with the high price tag, all their ideals are thrown out the door.  Until Americans learn to savor dark meat and understand the costs that go into producing Heritage breed turkeys, the production of them will not flourish.  We stopped producing them, as well as the other two farmers in the region that were producing them.  High-minded consumers must follow their ideals with their checkbooks....</description>
