Home Run with Slow Food Nation and Acme Chophouse

August 26th, 2008  By Paula Crossfield

Tonight at 6:30 pm, come and get a sneak preview of Slow Food Nation at the Cellar at Macy’s in Union Square (170 O’Farrell Street at Stockton) where we will be celebrating the publication of Come to the Table: The Slow Food Way of Living. The book profiles a dozen small farmers in California dedicated to growing food that’s healthy for people and the planet. Come and meet the contributors, as well as featured farmers, husband-and-wife team Dan Bagley and Liz Cunninghame, owner-operators of Clark Summit Farm, a sustainable beef, pork and poultry producer in Marin County, who will be telling their story. In addition, executive chef Thom Fox of Acme Chophouse will prepare choice cuts of meat from Clark Summit Farm. Meet Slow Food Nation organizers, farmers and chefs, and get your copy of Come to the Table signed by Alice Waters at this kickoff event.

Read more about the farmers and contributors to Come to the Table in Editor Katrina Heron’s previous post here.
